No More Mud with Grass Grids: Stable, Strong and Smartly Permeable

In the Netherlands, mud is the biggest enemy of (grass) surfaces. Cars get stuck and horses sink into paddocks. Polymer Terra Grids are the solution. These square tiles of 30 × 30 cm can easily be clicked together. Thanks to their special construction they stay firmly in place. The tiles feature alternating closed cells for extra stability; through the open cells grass can grow, making the grids almost invisible over time.

Dry Paddocks and Riding Arenas

Terra grids also work perfectly as a paddock surface or as the foundation of a riding arena. If you build a paddock base with coarse crushed rubble, gravel and our Terra-Grid E35, no drainage is required: excess water drains through the gravel layer. This layer also functions as a buffer during heavy rainfall. Thanks to this construction, the arena can even support heavy vehicles.

An additional advantage: horses cannot dig in paddocks. The top layer remains level; a commonly used top layer is 8–10 cm of sand. If the sand becomes contaminated over time, it is easy to replace.
